The directors and staff at J&CR Wood have said farewell to a long-standing popular employee after ten years at the firm.
Mike Daykin, who worked in the assembly and packing section at the warehouse in Clough Road, Hull, has taken retirement.
Mike had worked in handling not only J&CR Wood’s own brands, but was also involved with the manufacture of Point of Sale Display Units – an area of huge growth for the firm in the time that Mike was employed.
JCRPOS Director Ian Wood said: “Many of our customers will recognise him as the ‘jolly face’ of J&CR Wood from whenever he helped out with the delivering of our products around the country.
“Being a native of Liverpool, his brand of humour and choice of music has kept us all entertained throughout the years, and he will definitely be missed by all of his colleagues.”
Mr Wood added: “The directors and staff at J&CR Wood wish Mike and his wife a happy future throughout his retirement.”
